Frailea castanea is a miniature cactus known for its small, rounded body and deep chestnut-brown color. It stays very compact, often forming a single dome-shaped head with a smooth surface and tiny, almost invisible spines. Despite its small size, it can produce bright yellow flowers that sometimes self-pollinate without opening. It is perfect for small indoor displays and collectors who like unique, compact species.

For indoor care in Kuwait, keep it in bright indirect light or gentle morning sun. Use a very well-draining cactus mix and water only when the soil is completely dry. This species prefers lighter, infrequent watering—every 12–15 days in AC conditions, and even less during winter. It enjoys warmth, good airflow, and a dry environment. Avoid overwatering, as Frailea is sensitive to root rot.
