It grows up to 10–12 m tall, with a trunk diameter of 40–50 cm. The leaves are alternate, elliptic or obovate, 10–20 cm long, and 4–7 cm broad. The flowers are yellow, fragrant, and appear in clusters of 2–5. The fruit is a flat pod, 5–10 cm long, containing several seeds.
