Ficus carica ‘Brown Turkey’ is a fruiting fig tree prized for its sweet, brownish-purple figs and broad, lobed green leaves. A lovely choice for a sunny garden or spacious patio, it can grow in a large container or in the ground. Fruit production depends on the plant’s maturity, growing conditions, and seasonal care.

Care Guide | دليل العناية

Grow outdoors in a sunny position, introducing it gradually to direct sunlight. In Kuwait, provide protection from intense afternoon sun during peak summer, especially for young or potted trees. Water deeply when the upper few centimetres of soil begin to dry, checking more frequently during hot weather, and ensure excellent drainage. Feed moderately during active spring growth, and prune during winter dormancy to maintain shape and remove dead or crossing branches. Leaf drop in winter is normal for this deciduous tree.
