Meet the Drosera spatulata — one of nature's most captivating carnivorous plants, commonly known as the Sundew. With its rosette of spoon-shaped leaves adorned in glistening, ruby-red tentacles that shimmer like morning dew, this remarkable little plant is as beautiful as it is deadly to insects. A true conversation starter, the Sundew brings a touch of the wild and the extraordinary into any indoor space.
Care Guide
The Drosera spatulata thrives in bright indirect light and loves humidity — a sunny windowsill or a spot near a grow light works beautifully. Water only with distilled, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water; never tap water, as minerals will harm the plant. Keep the soil consistently moist by using the tray method — sitting the pot in a shallow dish of water. Avoid fertilising; the plant gets its nutrients from the insects it catches. In Kuwait's dry climate, placing the plant on a humidity tray or inside a glass terrarium will help it flourish year-round.
