Canna, known as Kanna plant, is a tropical flowering plant that grows very well in Kuwait’s outdoor gardens. It loves full sun and heat, producing bold green or red leaves with bright flowers through the warm season. Plant it in rich, well-draining soil and water regularly, keeping the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Canna grows fast in summer, so adding fertilizer every few weeks helps it stay lush and blooming. Remove old flowers to encourage new growth, and cut back dry leaves as needed. In winter it slows down but survives easily in Kuwait’s climate, returning stronger each year.
