Acacia salicina, commonly known as the Willow-leaved Wattle Tree, is a graceful evergreen tree with narrow, willow-like leaves and a soft, flowing canopy. Its fine foliage and naturally elegant shape create a light, airy appearance, making it an attractive choice for modern gardens, farms, walkways, and larger outdoor landscapes.
This heat-tolerant Australian tree is well suited to Kuwait’s warm climate when planted outdoors in full sun. It develops a strong upright form and provides gentle shade while remaining relatively low maintenance once established.
Care Guide
Keep this tree outdoors in full sun with good airflow. Plant it in well-draining soil and avoid areas where water collects. Water deeply whenever the upper few centimetres of soil become dry. Young trees need closer attention during establishment and may require more frequent watering during Kuwait’s hottest months. Once established, Acacia salicina can tolerate dry conditions, but occasional deep watering supports healthier growth.
Apply mulch around the root zone to help retain moisture, keeping it away from the trunk. Feed lightly with a balanced slow-release fertiliser during the growing season if needed. Prune dead, damaged, or unwanted branches to maintain a strong shape and attractive canopy.
