Philodendron Pink Princess is one of the most sought-after house plants in the world, loved for its deep blackish-green leaves splashed with vivid hot-pink variegation. Care Guide

Place your Pink Princess in a spot with plenty of bright, indirect light, which keeps the pink variegation strong; too little light will push the leaves back to green, while harsh direct sun can scorch them. Water when the top few centimetres of soil have dried out, keeping the soil lightly moist but never soggy, and reduce watering during the cooler months. Use a well-draining, airy mix and a pot with drainage holes. It enjoys normal to slightly higher humidity, so avoid placing it near heaters or air-conditioning vents. Support its climbing stems with a moss pole as it matures, and light feeding during the growing season will encourage larger, more colourful leaves.
